: I doubt Jesus claimed to be God.... that was probably added later.

When? Any proof, or is that just a whim?

: : No, even faith is a gift from God. Christianity is not belief in anything I do but trust in what God has done.
: If my supposed faith in God does not cause a change to take place in my life then my faith is not real.
: You'll need to explain this one a little more. It sounds like we can only have Faith if it is a "gift" from God, but then it is our responsibility to have it "show works". So we still have to do something...ie earn it. So it isnt really a gift? See my confusion?

Sorry, I must not have explained it adequately.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.

We are saved because we believe in the atoning work of Christ for us on the cross, thus appropriating for ourselves the effects of his propitious sacrafice in our place. But it I cannot take the credit for my faith, because although from my point of view, it is me who makes the decision that I believe in Jesus, I could not come to that conclusion if it were not for the grace of God. On the one hand I chose God, but on the other, God chose me.

I cannot boast save in Christ Jesus, because my relationship with God relies on what he has done and not on what I have done.

Now, if I am truly a child of God, then my actions will be fitting, i.e. I will do what God wants, and will "do good works". To quote Paul again [sorry Mohammed :-) ] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.

Works come as a result of Salvation, not the other way round. It's like a tree. Salvation is the root, but the leaves are works. If there are no leaves on the tree then you wonder what's wrong with the roots.

: If you could explain the Easter accounts of the bible then you could make an easy $1000.

Money isn't much incentive actually, because My God supplies all of my needs according to His riches in Jesus Christ my Lord. I'd rather be supported by him that you, and He's never failed me yet, and He never will, because He's nice like that, why don't you get to know him? ;-)

Check out a book called "Who moved the Stone", I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the author, but I'm sure that it would be available at your local Christian book store.
I'll try to look at the web sites you mentioned but I've got exams coming up, so I don't know how long it will be before I get time to look.

God bless,

Jonathan
