Hello,
I've been lurking in this debate web site for some time now, and I've noticed that almost every issue that has been brought up, ultimately ends up no where, every one wants his/her religious group to be right, that of course is at the beginning, then it becomes personal, where everyone wants to be right period!. You forget the whole aim of debate! To seek the truth.
You keep saying the burden of proof is on the Muslims because their religion came AFTER Christianity. Well to be honest this sounds a lot like my brother and I when we were young, when we used to fight over who gets the window seat!
This is too important an issue, this is our whole FUTURE we are talking about!…the hereafter…Heaven. That's what we aim for, Isn't it?
So now we know what we want, how do we achieve it?… by worshipping God, right?…. right!.
Ok, now we have different religions, which one is the "right" one? Well, where you were born, and who raised you will influence the path you will take during the first part of your life, until you are mature enough to know what logic is, to know what is real and what isn't, after which when you die, and then face God who will judge you in Judgment day, you will have no excuse if you ended up choosing the wrong path, God will say, I gave you that head of yours, and I showed you the path, but you didn't look and you didn't listen. So then it would be OUR fault individually, not THIS religious group, or THAT one, it wouldn't even be SATAN'S fault, for we have the power of will should we choose to use it.
So now you ask on whom should the burden of proof lie? it lies on YOU, ME, and each and every one of us who wants to have heaven in the end, who wants to be the winner. So research the other religions, YOU prove if they are wrong or if they are right to your self, because it is ultimately YOUR future, none of the "people" you are out to prove wrong will do you any good when you're judged in the end.
May each and every one of us find the RIGHT path, and achieve ultimate happiness,
RYA
