Dear Brother Malakh,
I am honored by your response;

I wrote:
I kindly asked you to give me verses and you just give more slander, where in the Islamic teachings are we told to be drawn away from Jesus, esspecially since we believe he will come back for us, again, kindly support your claims.

You quote;
Romans 10:9
because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,you will be saved.

I wrote:
This is Paul's writing, destroying the Law of Moses, therefore a false teacher and certainly not in higher authority to teach than Jesus and Jesus's real deciples (i.e. James)

You quote;
Philippians 2:11
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I wrote:
What is the big deal about calling Jesus lord, that was a common expression like son, etc..

David was called Lord, a begotten son of God, and people bowed to David/David accepted worship, does this make David God?

"And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, [upon] me [let this] iniquity [be]: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid." 1 Samuel 25:24 and Psalm 2:7

You quote;
1 John 4:3
and every spirit which does not confess Jesus, is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.

I wrote:
Muslims believe Jesus is from God, "O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of God aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of God, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in God and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for God is one God: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs." Qur'an 4:171

You wrote;
{My take on these is that the Quran does not call Jesus Christ Lord here - he is the same as any common prophet.}

What is so common about a prophet, does every common human part seas like Moses, raise the dead like Elijah, cure leprosy like Elisha, make the blind see like Elijah, build Arks like Noah, etc... Are prophets common or plain or ordinary, Muslims don't think so but at the same time Muslims don't worship Allah's Creations, only the Creator.

You quote:
[Al-Imran 3:55.5] Behold! God said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme;I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.

This tells me that even the Quran acknowledges that Jesus was more than just Moses and the other prophets......You must be able to see where the person not brought up in the Islamic faith can get confused?

I wrote:
I am now sure that you don't have a Qur'an, simply because the above is clearly clarified in the commentary #396 by Yusif Ali: ("Those who follow thee": refers to those who followed Jesus in contrast to the Jews who rejected him.)

Inconclusion, as the Gospel tells the reader that those who believe in Jesus are superior over those who don't believe in Jesus, the Qur'an simpley confirms this and at the same time clarifies that all Prophets are Equal.

You wrote;
And again, Jesus' Lordship is denied Him. Does the Muslim proclaim Jesus Christ is Lord????

I wrote:
We worship the Creator, not the Creation. Was Jesus created by Allah or is Jesus Allah, let us have an open mind and reflect on what Jesus say, and the complete data.

Peace and Blessings,
Your brother in Islam: Mohamed
