: So what is your point?

I was just just thinking out loud really. You were commenting on
the soul, and I on the body. The soul, I agree, is more impor-
tant, and I believe that the cleanliness of the body aids the
cleansing of the soul as well.

: I did not say we should not care for our bodies while we are
: alive either.

Didn't say you did.

: I did say that the cleanliness islam practices can only be
: symbolic,

Which is why I believe it aids the cleansing of the soul.

:(by the way Islam is not the only religion that practices
: symbolic cleaning, it may surprise you that some Christians
: do to)

Doesn't surprise me at all. I was a Christian.

: Personally I love it, that we have Islam
: (I was once a Muslim). The more I learn about it,
: the stronger a Christian I become.

I feel the same way, in vice-versa.

: The Islamic prayers are prescribed prayers,

This is what I loved about Islam when I first became exposed to
it.

: There is a fundemental difference in praying for the sake of
: praying and praying for the sake of the soul.

I agree. It is a good that Muslims pray for Allah, as
He commanded, and not just for praying sake.

But then, as you know, we have both prescribed prayers, voluntary
prayers, and personal supp;ications. This means we can pray, as
the Bible says, without ceasing. Allahu Akbar!

Salaam.

: Merry Christmas!

May your holiday be Joyful.

Salaam.
