: :Islam preserves the

: As do Muslims believe. However, the cleaniless of the body is
: important as well. It is important for Muslims to wash before
: praying, but not more important than the prayer itself.
: If we were not to find any water or clean earth to physically

: Indeed. However eventhough when we die the body decays we must
: still care for it when we are alive. Our bodies are a gift from
: the Almighty.

: Salaam.

So what is your point? I said Christians believe the soul is MORE important than the physical state not that it was unimportant. Death demonstrates perfectly that the body has performed its function (and so decays), but the soul lives on, it is our soul therefore, that must be clean at the time of death (which can be anytime) . I did not say we should not care for our bodies while we are alive either. I did say that the cleanliness islam practices can only be symbolic, (by the way Islam is not the only religion that practices symbolic cleaning, it may surprise you that some Christians do to) since no matter how many times you wash, you will only reduce the 'dirt' it is biologically impossible to be 100% clean. This was in response to Ghounems claim of satan and his love for biological dirt, the body is exfoliating continuously. I did not argue that physical Islam was difficult, but the 'concept' obviously is for millions of people. Personally I love it, that we have Islam ( I was once a Muslim). The more I learn about it, the stronger a Christian I become. I too believe that the body should be clean and presentable prior to praying, but I do not believe it has to be a ritual as in Islam. The Islamic prayers are prescribed prayers, there is a fundemental difference in praying for the sake of praying and praying for the sake of the soul.

Merry Christmas!
