: ::Dear Brother Howard,
: This is in responce to what was said
: about muslims being wrong in what they belive...
: First I would like to say that I don't profess to be some great
: scholar, but there is so much that is wrong in the CHRISTIAN
: RELIGION that it ain't funny... for instance: The Bible was'nt
: written in Greek, but, in HEBREW and SERIDIC ARABIC
: and in that version you wont find 1JOHN 5:7 anywhere, and
: that means that it was added by someone to please themself.
: The same thing goes for AL-ISLAM there are so many
: different secs that it ain't funny, but, to say that it's wrong is'nt
: right. See if all religions said that they had it right then
: whos to say whos right. The only way to find out is to go to the
: book to see and then prove it wrong which would mean that
: the creator is wrong and that is unlikely...
: This also means that the prophecy of muhammad has
: not yet come true... Because in the book of Isaiah 21:7 he had
: a vision of two riders, now who was the chariot of camels . Or
: should I say who was riding the camels. And then he mentioned
: in the same chapter 21:13 the burden upon Arabia. 21:14- 21:15
: 21:16- 21:17 Now if this was'nt fulfilled then something is wrong
: and there is still more prophecy to be filled.
: The only thing that you have to do is put what I've said un-
: der investigation and find out what is and what is'nt...

Dear Brother Mujahid,

Thank you for your response. I am not sure how I ended up in a thread titled "Why Muslims are wrong," since that wasn't what my post was about. I had written in merely to correct some inaccurate statements about the Catholic Church, which Mohamed graciously acknowledged. I am not the one to get into a debate on the alleged problems with the Bible, the pros and cons of which seems to be raging on the rest of the list. However in response to your comment, let me just say that the New Testament was written in Greek, not Hebrew or Arabic. Likewise the Catholic Church has declared "we accept as sacred and canonical the books of the Old and New Testament, whole and entire, with all of their parts, on the grounds that written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, they have God as their author." Die Verbum, 11. We Christians also believe that Jesus Christ has fullfilled all of the Messianic Prophecies of the Old Testament. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am under the impression that Muslims agree with us that Jesus is the Messiah, whose coming was prophecied in the Old Testament.

I agree with your distress over the many sects in Islam and Christianity; and that is why I thank God I belong to the Catholic Church, which has preserved the unity for which Jesus prayed and to which he promised his disciples. May we all be one!

Peace be with you,

Howard
