Let me put in a correction here.

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith
and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Not money, but the love of mony is ONE root of all kind of evil things.
Let us not exaggerate but understand the word of the Lord carefully.

: And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to
: Jerusalem.
: And found in the temple those that sold oxen and
: sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove
: them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen;
: and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew
: the tables; - Joh 2:13-15
: I dont believe they were speaking in English at that time. ;-)

Yep, they were using money and speaking semitic languages,
Hebrew [the language of worship in the Temple ] and Aramaic
the language of every day life.

Greetings to you,

Jochen
