I too have a muslim father & a christian mother & I have an advice to give:
You should not push your children to one side let them decide for themselves
like my sisters Catholic but I am Muslim.
There are good things about marriges from different backgrounds
like the prophet Mohhamed(SAAWS) pointed out that the child will have
the best of both parents.
& like I said love is a wonderfull thing & should never be stopped
