Dear Brother Zaphod,
How was your trip?

Yet he was alleged to have built an altar to worship God, but he hated statues?

I respond:
Do you call a church a statue?

It is the Human Figures that are bowed to, statues shaped like humans that is a sin.

Why is it a sin, well, read your history on all the deaths due to racism. False white pictures of Jesus have resulted in Black churches in the States being burned to the ground.

If Pictures of Jesus were all black, then there would have been white churches burned down. Racism was alot more evident in the past, but even in this decade, the Pictures and Statues are causing some to feel superior over others, and even hate towards others.

Is there or is there not a majority of churches exclusively for white people and exclusively for black people, turthfully, are most churches equal or segragated?

A statue of course is a symbolic reference only. Prayer beads are another one used by both Catholics and Muslims, the beads are not being worshipped, it is symbolic of spirituality focus or a ‘reminder’ You also state you are against statues, yet thousands of Muslims parade around a block of rock, What is the difference?

I respond:
The Beads: They assist in counting, simmilar to the Chinese calculator, there are 33 beads in all, We recite 11 times "SuphonAllah" (All Praise Due to Allah), 11 times "Al HamduLiLah" (All Thanks due to Allah), and 11 times "Allah Hoa Agbar" (Allah is the Supreme).

Therefore the difference is that the Beads are not between Us and Allah as the Catholics precieve the saints. We are directly Praising Allah, not asking the Beads to Praise Allah for Us, As the Catholics ask the Saints to speak to God for the Catholics.

The Block (Kabba): First of All, this used to be full of statues which Prophet Muhammad removed. Second, It is considered Allah's House on Earth. Allah's throne is directly under the Kaba in Heaven. Third, it is not thousands, it is Millions, I was recently Blessed enough to be able to do a Aumroa and it Was Beautiful.

We all face it and Bow, It was Built By Abraham and his son Ismael and at the time of Prophet Muhammad, centuries after Jesus, the Kaba was full of pagan statues and ruled by pagans, the Prophet Cleansed it and to this day it is clean from human figure statues.

Nothing stands between a Muslim and Allah:

"And he said: "For you, ye have taken (for worship) idols besides Allah, out of mutual love and regard between yourselves in this life; but on the Day of Judgment ye shall disown each other and curse each other: and your abode will be the Fire, and ye shall have none to help." Qur'an 29:25

Muhammad too is dead, yet he is given reverence in Islamic prayers and salutations such as PBUH, SAW dare I say the equivalent of a Saint?

I respond:
There are no statues of Prophet Muhamamed, we do not bow to Muhammad, we do not ask Prophet Muhammad to Ask Allah to help us, as it is said, on Judgement Day, No one will come to your help, not saints or anyone, Why then ask the saints in this life if they will not be any help in the After Life?

I know several Muslim families that have a picture of the Kabba in their room and face
it at prayer time, yet they are not worshipping the picture only using it as a focus point.

I respond:
Muslims face the Kabba when they Pray world wide, it is under the Throne of the Creator, if they put a picture of it in the direction of the Kabba (East), I honestly don't see the interference, on the other hand, if a human statue is put in the direction of praying to Allah (Allah Forbid), then that would not be a Direct Comunication between you and Allah.

Peace and Blessings,
Your Brother in Islam: Mohamed
