The most comprehensive internet site offering a Christian response to Islam (titled Christian Answers to Islam) contains over 1,000 pages of material and has extensive links throughout the internet to other related sites both Christian and Muslim. The co-ordinator, Jochen Katz, reports that over 3,500 different people are now visiting it each week. It’s an excellent place to start looking for material. The site is updated regularly.
Jay Smith’s papers on the Origins of Islam, Muhammad, the Qu’ran and the comparison of Qu’ran and Bible can be downloaded from the internet. This material is a little more technical than that on Jochen Katz’s site, but it continues to provoke a storm of controversy throughout the Muslim world with over 15,000 visits since August 1995. Muslim responses can be scrutinised on-line.
Also worth a look is http://easter.everystudent.com/ with some excellent articles on the resurrection, the historical reliability of the gospels, and the divinity of Christ and much more... all issues at the heart of Christian/Muslim dialogue.
Muslim Sites
Many of the Muslim sites are too full of anti-Christian rhetoric to be of much value (sadly the same criticism can be made of some Christian sites); however there are two which are well worth watching. ‘Islam Answers Back’ has been specially created to answer Christian sites on Islam. in addition, Adnan Khan has started an interactive Muslim site also responding to Christian apologetics on the web.
Please intercede for those running these and other Muslim sites. Pray that God will use all the Christian material they are reading to open their hearts and minds to Christ.
