Submitting your own links

The Muslim Christian Debate web site is willing to link to material elsewhere on the web which addresses issues raised in the papers hosted on this site. Please note that in future we will link to specific articles rather than whole web sites. When reviewing material, we will apply the following criteria:

  1. Material must be original - i.e. written by you. If the material is written by someone else, they must make the application themselves. If you have a mixture of material on your site, then use this form to apply for links to material that you have written and get the others to use the form for their material. If you have several articles that are replying to material on this site, please send in one application per article.

  2. Your article must be relevant to the discussion on one of the Debate pages. For example, Mr Smith's paper on the historical basis for the Qur'an contains a lot of references to the research findings of Orientalists. If your article is specifically replying to his points then it meets the requirement of relevance. If, however, your site just has lots of material on "Orientalism" but does not specifically reply to points on this site, then it would not be relevant. (This is to ensure that serious students who regularly use our site are not linked to pages of material which are not specifically dealing with issues raised here).

  3. Material must be up to a reasonable standard of English - if you are serious about web publishing, you will already have used a spell-checker on your material! If your first language is not English, you may wish to ask an English speaker to read through your material first.

  4. The tone of the material must be suitable for fostering _honest_ but also _polite_ debate between Muslims and Christians. We will not accept submissions that are overly aggressive in tone, are rude, disrespectful or contain unwarrented personal attacks. For example, it is acceptable to say "I personally doubt that the New testament is a reliable record of the life and teaching of Jesus". It would not be acceptable to say "People who trust the New testament are brain dead...."!

  5. If your material is accepted, and we put a link on this site, we reserve the right to subsequently remove the link if you significantly change the material. If you do need to change the material, then please send us a brief email telling us of the URL(s) of any changes.

You may use the following form to request a link to your article(s) (all fields are required):
